Part Time Instructors:

Responsibilities:

On-site clinical supervision and evaluation of nursing students in fundamentals, adult health, pediatric and obstetric health, mental health, and community health settings, as well as a few positions in the clinical skills lab.

Part Time Instructors are hired based on need for each semester (fall, summer and spring).

A master’s degree in nursing and current clinical expertise in a specialty area is required.

Non-Tenure Track appointments: Clinical Instructors

Non-Tenure Track responsibilities:

  • Teaching in our undergraduate and/or graduate programs
  • Participating in scholarly activities.
  • Student advisement and mentoring,

Rank will be determined based on prior clinical and/or teaching experience. Preference will be given to those with a DNP or PhD or equivalent doctoral degree and prior teaching experience.

Minimum qualifications include:

Georgia RN license/license eligible; master’s degree in nursing; and a minimum of two years of nursing practice and teaching experience. Certification such as nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist with current practice experience desirable.

Non-Tenure Track appointments: Clinical Instructors

Non-Tenure Track responsibilities:

  • Teaching in our undergraduate and/or graduate programs
  • Participating in scholarly activities.

Tenure Track appointments: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (9-month)

Tenure Track Appointments Responsibilities:

  • Developing or advancing a focused program of funded research and teaching in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
  • Student advisement and mentoring,

Minimum qualification include:

PhD or equivalent research doctoral degree. While a preference will be given to nurse researchers, other health-related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience desirable. Competitive compensation package with startup funds are available.
