Step 1: Apply to Undergraduate Admissions
Students interested in an undergraduate program are first accepted to Georgia State University through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as pre-professional students.
Step 2: Register for and take the Test Essential Academic Skills-TEAS
Step 3: Submit application to the Office of Academic Assistance.

Effective for Fall 2016 admissions round, pre-nursing applicants must have grade of B or higher in at least one course in each of the following four categories by the end of the freshman year:
- English (ENGL 1101 or 1102)
- Math (MATH 1070 or 1111)
- Science (BIO 2300 or CHEM 1151)
- Social Science (PHIL 1010, PSYC 1101, or SPCH 1000)
All applicants will be screened for this requirement.
Analytics of nursing graduation rates show that students who were admitted into the baccalaureate nursing program and who met the above criterion, had a graduation rate of 97.5%.
