Dr. Meaney-Delman recently joined the Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing faculty in a full time capacity.    Previously, she had taught as a Part-time Instructor for both the School of Nursing and the Biology Department at Georgia State University.  Her educational expertise is in teaching physiology and pathophysiology at both the graduate and undergraduate level.  She has recently developed a new course, Human Reproductive Biology, which introduces undergraduate and graduate students to the clinical realm of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Meaney-Delman has integrated technology into all of her courses.  She has special expertise in online learning techniques, including virtual learning classrooms, podcasts, video and audio lectures.  Along with her colleagues in the University Technology Services, she has created animations to facilitate student learning in an online environment.

Dr. Meaney-Delman is active clinically, primarily in the field of gynecology where she focused her efforts on cancer and pregnancy prevention.  She currently practices at Planned Parenthood in downtown Atlanta and often cares for Georgia State students in her capacity as an Ob/GYN.

Dr. Meaney-Delman is in the process of obtaining funding to study contraceptive behaviors in young adults with the long term goal of improving long-term contraceptive use in young women.  She is interested in cancer prevention through genetics and is pursuing a research agenda in this area as well.

Dr. Meaney-Delman is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health at Georgia State University and ultimately plans to utilize her clinical and educational experience to improve health education in the United States and abroad.
